Ltd have a strong commitment to reduce electronic waste (e-waste) around us.  With that aim it is our top most priority to take back the product after its end of life and to dispose it in a safe and environmentally friendly manner. At Vishal Video & Appliances Pvt. Ltd we understand that electronic waste is a big threat to our environment and our company stands committed to follow the E-Waste Management Rule 2016 and Amendment published by the Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF).
As part of e-waste recycling initiative, we join hands with Greentek Reman Pvt. Ltd. one of India’s leading Electronic and IT Asset Management and Disposal Company to comply with E-Waste management and handling rules in providing environmentally sound management of end-of-life products.

Greentek Reman Pvt. Ltd. has all the necessary authorization from the appropriate governmental agencies for the processing facility and ensures proper dismantling, recycling and disposal of e-waste. Greentek Reman Pvt. Ltd. has the “R2 certificate” that makes them proudly stand among top 10 e-waste management companies in the country. Joining hands with them helps us to protect the environment from any hazardous consequences which would be otherwise caused by the inappropriate management of e-waste.

Why recycle e-waste?

  1. E-waste contains many valuable and recoverable materials like aluminium, copper, gold, silver, plastics, and ferrous metals.
  2. Electronic equipment can be refurbished, reused, and recycled instead of being land-filled which conserve natural resources and the energy needed to produce new electronic equipment from virgin resources.

Ltd. has been committed to effective collection of all e-waste from PAN-India location and has been managing collection of e-waste using its own collection centres and the collection centres of its appointed PRO. Do's

  1. Please check for the life-cycle of your product on the Product Information Booklet.
  2. Please speak on the mentioned Toll-Free Number for any query about your product take-back or recycle
  3. Please hand-over e-waste only at the designated collection centre of the Brand.
  4. Please make sure you earn incentive from the brand on handing-over e-waste the correct way.
  5. Please accumulate all unused electronic and electrical items only to be handed-over to the Brand or Registered Recycler.
  6. Please acknowledge buy-back and exchange program from the Brand.
  7. Please drop your scrap electronic parts, handed-back to you after replacement with the new part, at the e-waste drop box in the service centre.
  8. Please register that as an individual we all have Individual Responsibility towards the conservation of our environment.

Dont's

  1. Please do not throw any electronics (including batteries) into garbage bin. It must be thrown only on designated bins with symbol
  2. Please do not sell e-waste to scrap dealers or unauthorized agents for little/some cash.
  3. Please do not dispose of e-waste in landfill or in pits as an ill-treasure for your next generation
  4. Please do not open unused electronics without expert supervision, as it can be hazardous.
  5. Please do not cut-open parts or components without brand representative’s supervision

Health Effects

HEALTH EFFECTS

When we throw out our electronics, they land up in Landfill causing the possibility of toxic metal leaching into the groundwater. Toxic metals in e-waste leach into our supply of resources, threatening their integrity. When e-waste is openly heated which is a rudimentary process by the un-registered user or scrap dealers, toxic chemicals are released into the air, damaging the atmosphere and posing a serious threat to health and existing life.

E-Waste management is a critical consideration for future generations as proper e-waste recycling is becoming hard to find, with very less efficient recyclers in the business.

E-Waste is not a problem going away soon. In fact with the alarming rise in the use of electronics and electrical products the volume is only going to rise. As per a study by ASSOCAM, it is said to be growing at a rate of 33% cumulative every year. With all the produce and dump which happens in India, it is said to have a 500% increase in e-waste over the next decade.

It is crucial to know effects of e-waste on the environment, and make a collective effort to build awareness and systems to curb all its ill positioning for our existing and future generation.

General Scheme of Collection

We Vishal Video and Appliances Pvt. Ltd. being the Seller/ Importer as per E-waste (management) Rules, 2016, always give priority to compliances and follow all regulations amended time to time by government authorities related to e-waste management.

Following are our General Collection Schemes:

Buy Back Schemes: We are planning to buy back the old and used product from our customers to get them recycled/disposed.

Cash Back Schemes: We can also offer cash back scheme to encourage our customers to bring back their old and used products to us so that we can recycle/dispose.

Refundable Deposits: As of now we don’t have any such refund scheme but can be introduced if required.

Collection Centers/Points: We motivate our customers to directly send their used/end of life product to collection centers.

E-Mails: We shall aware our customers and help them to understand the importance of recycling the used/end of life products through educational emails.

These are the ways in which we are planning to bring back used/end of life products from our customers.

Mode of Collections

  1. We have done an agreement with Greentek Reman Pvt. Ltd. registered with UPPCB as an e-waste dismantler.
  2. As a part of agreement Greentek Reman Pvt. Ltd. collects our E-waste from and dismantle the same at their plant at Greater Noida (UP). Further all process of recycling is done in an environmentally sound manner.
  3. Greentek Reman Pvt. Ltd. has all authorisation related to e-waste dismantling from UPPCB and having all consents related to Air/water. They have a capacity of 9000 MT per annum.
  4. Greentek Reman Pvt. Ltd. has total area of 5639 sq. metre for storing of raw material, processing of raw material, storing of product and office space.
  5. Keeping in view of our sales volume, e-waste generation, future e-waste targets and our expansion plan we have decided to follow these mechanism in our organization for collection of e-waste.
  6. As per our agreement with Greentek Reman Pvt. Ltd. if any customer wants to handover/dispose old/end of life product they can easily reach to our Collection centre (detailed list is provided on our website) and give the products directly or can call on our Toll Free Number for Suggestion/ Clarification as well as for arranging a pick up from our side.
  7. We shall use our dismantler’s logistics facility for the collection of e-waste.
